It's the 62nd Anniversary celebration of the Squire Creek Louisiana Peach Festival in Ruston, la!
During the fourth weekend in June the streets will overflow with music, exciting events, over 200 artisans and vendors, and best of all delicious, juicy-sweet peaches. You and your family can enjoy terrific entertainment including: Arts and Crafts Show, 5K & Fun Run, Tennis Tournament, Kid's Fishing Tournament, Fine Arts Show, Peach Cookery Contest, Pet Show, Peach Eating Contest, Festival Parade, Antique Car Show, and MORE!
At the Peach Jam on Friday night, you can....Prepare to be FUNKIFIED, ZYDECOFIEDand the pleasantvictim of a Chubby party. Experience what we call a Swamp-Funky Zydeco Good Time because THERE AIN'T NO PARTY LIKE A CHUBBY PARTYon the Railroad Park stage beginning at 8 p.m. with Chubby Carrier and the Bayou Swamp Band. Carrier, born in Churchpoint, Louisiana is a third generation zydeco artist and was winner for Best Zydeco or Cajun Music Album at the 53rd Grammy Awards. Your $5 admission fee gets you into this concert.
Another Louisianian appearing as this year’s headliner is Sammy Kershaw!
Kershaw, from Kaplan, has had more than 25 singles entered in the Top 40 on Billboard Hot Country Songs charts, including the No. 1 hit “She Don’t Know She’s Beautiful." The show begins at 9 p.m. Saturday, June 23 in Railroad Park. Tickets are $10.
