DESCRIPTION:Boys & Girls Clubs of North Louisiana is introducing a new fundraiser for the North Central Region this spring. The organization is hosting the First Annual Pickleball Tournament\, where participants of any skill level can play\, and in return\, support a great cause.\n\n \n\nThe tournament will be held at Squire Creek in Choudrant on Saturday\, April 1\, beginning at 8:30 a.m. Registration is now open online at BGCofNL.org.\n\n \n\nPickleball is currently the fastest growing sport in the United States\, attracting men and women of all ages. The tournament will have divisions for men\, women and mixed doubles with four different levels for each   Beginner (2.0-2.5)\, Intermediate (2.5-3.0)\, Advanced (3.5 and above) and Senior (Ages 55+). You can choose a partner (who will also need to register) or be paired with an individual on the day of the tournament. \n\n \n\nLike pickleball\, Boys & Girls Clubs of North Louisiana is also growing rapidly\, with four new sites already added in 2023\, and two more still on its way. The North Central Region currently has six operating Clubhouses   Ruston\, Jonesboro\, Arcadia\, Dubach\, Homer and Haynesville   and will be adding Farmerville later this year.  \n\n\n\nThe format of the tournament is round-robin. Registration is $25 per player for one division or $40 per player to participate in two divisions. \n\n \n\nRegister by March 21 to receive a free t-shirt. Lunch and drinks will be provided throughout the day of the tournament. \n\n \n\nAll proceeds will go to the North Central Region of the Boys & Girls Clubs of North Louisiana\, a non-profit that focuses on providing a safe\, supervised environment where youth can develop into positive\, productive members of society. It focuses on three major pillars   academics\, character development and healthy lifestyles   that it tries to implement and maximize in each member that walks through our doors.
