DESCRIPTION:Ruston Main Street hopes that all our kids have a safe and happy Halloween. Begin the fun at the Downtown Howl'oween on Friday\, October 31\, from 3:30pm to 5:30pm. Trick or treat with local businesses throughout downtown Ruston. There will be several activities inside the Civic Center that families can enjoy. * Trick or treat with various organizations. * Let your creativity show and bring your favorite pet for a chance to win the pet/parent Howl'oween Costume Contest. Registration begins at 4:30pm with the judging at 5:30pm. * Show off your baking skills and enter the Pumpkin Pie Cooking Contest. Deliver your pie to the Civic Center between 3:30pm and 5:30pm. Judging will be held at 5:30pm and winners will be announced after the pet costume contest. Categories are Youth (6-17) and Adult (18 and up). * Fun experiments and activities sponsored by LA Tech Physics and Science Departments. * Invited guests include IDEA Place\, Tech Kids Club\, North Central Louisiana Arts Council\, Junior Auxiliary of Ruston\, Ruston Police Department\, and Ruston Fire Department.
