DESCRIPTION:The Junior Auxiliary of Ruston is proud to announce Ruston's 2nd Annual Mardi Gras Parade & Festival: Jazzin' It Up!\n\n\n\nFestivities will be held in Railroad Park on Saturday\, March 2nd from 11am-6pm with a family friendly parade starting at 6pm.\n\n\n\nThe parade begins at 6pm from the old Police Jury parking lot (lot next to current Tax Assessor's office) and will proceed as follows:\n\nDown W. Alabama Avenue to N. Trenton Street\n\nRight onto N. Trenton to W. Texas Street\n\nRight onto W. Texas Street to S. Monroe Street\n\nRight on S. Monroe Street to end in the public parking lot across from First Baptist Church\n\n\n\nThe festivities at Railroad Park will feature a Mardi Gras marketplace to include food trucks\, live music and entertainment\, local vendors\, and more. Entertainment Line Up is as follows:\n\n\n\n11:00 a.m. Anna Catherine Thompson (National Anthem)\n\n11:15 a.m. Ruston High Jazz Band\n\n11:45 a.m. BigSkinny Comedian\n\n12:30 p.m. UPHY (pronounced Up High - step/dance Team)\n\n1:00 p.m. Missy Crain Dance Group\n\n1:30 p.m. Travis Christian\n\n2:30 p.m. Zach O'Neal\n\n4:00 p.m. Seth Hightower\n\n4:30 p.m. Bo Smith\n\n\n\nBoth the festival and parade are free and open to the public.
