SUMMARY:Live Mic Sports Broadcasting Camp
DESCRIPTION:Description: Do you have a young person who is a sports fanatic that eats\, sleeps and breathes sports? Do you think they would enjoy a three-day camp that teaches the nuances of being a radio sports broadcaster or talk show host? The experience of what it is like to call that last second\, game winning shot on radio? To debate the hot button topics of today's sports world? Well now is their chance to learn from two of north Louisiana's award-winning play-by-play broadcasters in Louisiana Tech's Malcolm Butler and ULM/ESPN Radio's Nick White. The mic is live\, and it is an opportunity to gain real-life knowledge and experience of the sports broadcasting business. The camp will include direction and training on both the sports radio talk show side of the business as well as the sports broadcasting side (play-by-play\, color analysis\, sideline reporting). It is geared for young boys and girls entering grades 7 through 12. There are only 24 spots available. This camp is for beginners. We don't expect our campers to have any broadcasting experience. We will start from scratch.
