DESCRIPTION:Young pro football fans will have the opportunity to exhibit their football skills when the\n\nRuston Parks and Recreation hosts an NFL Punt\, Pass & Kick competition on Saturday\, September 4 at 9:30 am.  The competition is free and open to boys and girls ages 6-15.\n\n \n\nGirls and boys in five separate age divisions (6-7\, 8-9\, 10-11\, 12-13\, and 14-15) compete against each other in punting\, passing and place kicking in a fun and engaging competition.  Scores are based on distance and accuracy.  Age classification is as of December 31 of the current year.\n\n \n\nWith the age-group expansion to include the 6-7 division\, the program will continue to reach children of a younger age and allow them to experience the fun of learning football fundamentals in an engaging and supportive non-contact environment.\n\n \n\nLike last year\, football players from both Louisiana Tech and Ruston High will be on hand to help out\, take pictures and sign autographs.\n\n \n\nFor competition information or to register\, contact the Ruston Parks and Recreation office at 255-5800 or via email at RPAR@ruston.org.
