DESCRIPTION:The Peach Stop Passport Game leading into the Louisiana Peach Festival began in 2014 as a trial event to see if it would help direct potential customers to Ruston-Lincoln Chamber of Commerce members in one week. Now\, heading into its third year\, it's enjoyed by the business owners and players alike. The foremost goal of this event is to encourage Lincoln Parish residents and non-residents alike\, to show support to small businesses in this community.\n\n \n\nThe 2016 Peach Stop game will run from Monday\, June 20 - Saturday\, June 25. \n\nPlayers will have a week to visit as many Stops as they can. During the visits\, the business' staff will validate the Passports with a stamp. The number of Stops verified on a player's Passport determines what prizes he/she is eligible for. The grand prize will be $1\,000\, sponsored by The Arbor & Terrace Assisted Living\, and will require a completed Passport.\n\n \n\nUnlike with 12 Days of Christmas Shopping #ShopRuston campaign\, Peach Stops is not limited to retailers. One stop may be a restaurant and the next may be a chiropractic office. Some Stops may offer specials for the Players and some Stops simply want to meet you. Perhaps one day you will have a need for their services.\n\n \n\nThis is a fun\, competitive game that is believed to strengthen the community's relationships. Chamber members within Ruston are eligible to be a Stop. All area merchants may be Prize Sponsors. Anyone age 18 or older is eligible to play.\n\n\n\nTo be a Stop please register by 5 p.m.\, Wednesday\, June 1. Register online or download the registration form. \n\n \n\nPlayers can pick up a Passport at the Ruston-Lincoln Chamber of Commerce at 2111 North Trenton Street in Ruston or at any Peach Stop\, beginning Monday\, June 20.
