SUMMARY:Revive the Relics Wine & Cheese Reception
DESCRIPTION:~ Revive the Relics ~\n\n\n\nDid you know\, according to the museum director\, Ernie Stevens\, you would have to visit 100 museums to see the likes of the North Louisiana Military Museum's collection? What began as a meeting place for a few veterans\, grew into one of the best displays in the state\, if not America.\n\n\n\nDisplayed items have been purchased\, donated\, or are on loan. After searching for 21 years\, Stevens found his now most prized artifact\, a CR-39 French rifle. Also included is a display of items from "Ace Pilot" Commander Guy Borderline\, a Ruston native and veteran of three wars. "An Ace is a pilot who has shot down five enemy planes and Borderline became the only Navy Ace and was also the only night Ace in the Korean War\," Stevens said.\n\n\n\nFriends of the North Louisiana Military Museum are raising awareness of the museum as well as funds to revive 15 artifacts to be displayed outside the museum. You are cordially invited to come tour the museum\, enjoy wine & cheese\, and chat with some of our cherished veterans. \n\n\n\nMonday\, April 24\, 2017\n\n6-8 p.m.\n\nNorth Louisiana Military Museum\n\n201 Memorial Drive\, Ruston\n\n\n\n$30 per person\n\n$50 per couple
