DESCRIPTION:Tap into your inner artist\, brush up on your skills\, or become inspired with this fun and relaxing workshop presented by artist Charlie Meeds.\n\n\n\nGesture\, Contour\, and Volume: Gesture drawing is to a finished figure painting what a haiku poem is to a novel. In this class you will learn to capture this first impression of form and movement on the paper. Gesture drawings are done from life and captures the action of your subject: not what it looks like\, but what it's doing. You will also learn contour drawing which depicts form by outlining the edges and how to increase and decrease the volume.\n\n\n\nInstructor: Charlie Meeds taught art at LA Tech University from 1970-1984 and continues to teach in the community. He has a BA in Fine Arts with a major in painting and print making. He also holds an MA in Fine Arts. \n\n\n\nEvent Cost: Each session is $30.00. A discount will be provided for participants purchasing 3 or more of the classes. \n\n\n\nWhat to Bring: 11x14 drawing pad\, kneaded eraser\, at least one each turquoise 2b and 4b pencils.
