DESCRIPTION:The North Central Louisiana Arts Council (NCLAC) invites the public to a screening of the documentary Grab a Hunk of Lightning\, about the life and work of Depression-era photographer Dorothea Lange. This free to the public event will be held Friday\, February 6 at 6pm at the Dixie Center for the Arts in Ruston\, LA. Taylor will introduce the film and engage in a Q&A at its conclusion. \n\n\n\nThis unique opportunity is made possible by a joint effort between Louisiana Tech's School of Design and NCLAC\, with additional sponsorship by Elizabeth English. \n\n\n\nDorothea Lange took the photograph Migrant Mother (1936) that still personifies the Great Depression in America's visual memory. The Dixie Center for the Arts is located at 212 North Vienna in Ruston.
