DESCRIPTION:The public is invited to attend a roarin' good party benefiting Boys & Girls Clubs of North Central Louisiana (BGC) on Thursday\, October 30\, 2014\, at 7pm\, as Mr. and Mrs. Todd Davison and the BGC Board of Directors present The Gatsby Gala. \n\n \n\nThis 1920s-themed evening will be held at Squire Creek Country Club in Choudrant and will include heavy hors d'oeuvres\, cocktails\, live music and dancing\, as well as silent and live auctions.  Guests are encouraged to attend in 1920s attire.  \n\n \n\nLive music for The Gatsby Gala will be provided by The Singapore Slingers based out of Dallas\, Texas.  This quirky eight-member jazz ensemble specializes in selections from the 1900-1935 pre-swing American dance music era.  Their repertoire is immense\, featuring fox trots\, waltzes\, marches\, one-steps\, rags\, tangos\, rhumbas\, exotic- castle walks\, the maxixe and\, of course\, the oriental fox trot. \n\n \n\nTickets are $50 per person and may be purchased by visiting BGC online at bgcncl.org.\n\n \n\nBGC also welcomes support for the event via donations of auction items\, auction program advertising and general event underwriting.  Auction donations may be physical items\, gift certificates or other in-kind gifts.  Program advertisements begin at $150\, and underwriting levels range from $250 to $5\,000.
