DESCRIPTION:This class will be held on Wednesdays.\n\nEnroll to become a Certified Wedding & Event Planner at Louisiana Tech University (Shreveport Center). This is a classroom (CR)\, instructor-led\, hands-on/class session with online course access for those looking to get started in the wedding and event industry right away. Students fulfill all course requirements AND prepare for the certificate exam by participating in the online and live-class session.\n\nLive-class sessions allow for instructor interaction with new perspectives and insider information from others in the industry attending who bring advice\, insight\, and experience to group discussions. Local classes take class trips\, meet with local vendors\, and attend local industry events. Courses are taught by seasoned wedding and event professionals.\n\nOnline students participate in group collaboration\, share projects in the student blogs and discussion areas\, and interact with students from all over the world\, providing a great resource for networking\, learning\, and inspiration.\n\nThis course allows for application and utilization of business tools\, formulas and presentation methods that our students learn in their training. This includes role playing\, vignettes and discussions to practice actual business objectives or work settings in the day-to-day of wedding and event planning. Students will also be able gain hands-on training during the course.\n\nTuition includes classroom sessions\, CWEP course materials\, online curriculum\, online student center\, wedding and event planning software\, textbooks\, certificate exam fee and certification designation.
