97th Annual Awards Banquet

The Ruston-Lincoln Chamber of Commerce 97th Annual Awards Banquet presented by Bank of Ruston will be held Thursday, January 19, 2017 at the Ruston Civic Center.

* Lincoln Parish School District's Distinguished Partners in Education Award recipients - Whataburger & Temple Baptist Church
* Ruston Lincoln Convention and Visitors Bureau's Hospitality Award recipient - Joshua Mitchell
* Junior Auxiliary's Betty Robbins Volunteer of the Year award - Amy Stegall
The Banquet begins at 6 pm. with a wine-and-cheese social sponsored by The Keg Package Store. Dinner will be served at 6:45 pm. Attire is business or semi-formal.

The banquet is also the time that the Chamber recognizes its outgoing board members as well as inducting the 2017 board members. Having completed their terms and rolling off of the Board are Patrick Blanchard - Louisiana Methodist Children's Home, Rodney Manning - The Ensure Agency and Neal Carter - Origin Bank.
The 2017 Executive board appointments are as follows: Chair, Cathi Cox-Boniol, Lincoln ACHIEVE; Chair Elect, Finance & Membership Development, Lee Denny, Bank of Ruston; Community Development, Earl Smith, Wells Fargo Advisors; Organizational Development. Donna Ott, Hunt, Guillot & Associates; Program Development, Brandon Sutherland, Hampton Inn; and Immediate Past Chair, Patrick Blanchard, Louisiana Methodist Children's Home.
Incoming board officers are Cathan Brooks of Henderson Financial Services, Kristi Hardaway of Princeton Place, Jessica Hughes of Riverport Creative Group, Marisol O'Neal of Origin Bank, Michelle Tolar of United Way NELA and Lindsay Tomlinson of Origin Bank. Continuing Directors are Sheila Bordelon of Lincoln Parish Assessor's Office, retired reverend Billy Harris, Randy Null of Ruston Artisans and LA Tech, Michael Gahagan of Country Inn & Suites, Josh Perot of LA Tech Sports Properties, and Emily Gatlin of LOTS. Marc Newman will represent Grambling State University and Lindsay Tomlinson will represent Origin Bank (Elite Level member) in ex-officio seats. Continuing ex-officio members: Dr. Les Guice, Louisiana Tech University; Courtney Hall, LP Police Jury; Kristi Lumpkin, Ruston, Louisiana Economic Development; Gregg Phillips, Experience Ruston; Doug Postel, Louisiana Delta Community College; Sheriff Mike Stone, Mayor Ronny Walker, City of Ruston and Ranaee Walley, Lincoln Parish Crime Stoppers. Chamber board members serve three-year terms.
