A Christmas Carol with Bill Oberst
The Lincoln Parish Library will host Bill Oberst, Jr. in his own one-man version of Dickens? A Christmas Carol on Saturday, December 5 at 2 PM in the Library Events Center. Oberst will be dressed in Victorian costume, use English accents, and perform from an edited version of Dickens? original text that he arranged. This event is free and open to the public. Oberst is a stage and screen veteran who is known for historical and villainous roles. He started out acting when he was young by mimicking his teachers to avoid being bullied, saying, ?They couldn?t hit you while they were laughing.? He started with traveling acting roles of famous historical figures such as Jesus of Nazareth, Mark Twain, and John F. Kennedy. These days, Oberst lives in Los Angeles and does guest roles on shows like Criminal Minds, but he has a special love for his portrayal of A Christmas Carol and tours every year. Don?t miss this exciting version of the classic Christmas favorite. The performance is free and open to the public. In the spirit of the holidays, light refreshments will be served following the performance.
