ACT Work Ready Communities Lunch & Learn
Lincoln Parish is working to become a certified
ACT Work Ready Community, and the time starts now.
Skills gaps are the rifts between the skills
needed for a job and those possessed by
the individual hired to do that job.
We are using the ACT Workkeys System to measure and close the
skills gap in the regional economy. We need YOU to know what this
means and how it can impact your success.
How will this impact EMPLOYERS?
- Find Better Applicants
- Lower Employee Turnover
- Increase Hiring Effectiveness
- Reduce Hiring Costs and Improve Performance
How will this impact JOB SEEKERS?
- Determine the skill levels you've achieved
- Identify skills you could improve
- Match your skill levels to specific job requirements
- Show employers you have skills for workplace success
How will this impact OUR COMMUNITY?
- Help residents demonstrate employability skills
- Make it easier for employers to find qualified workers
- Provides tools to measure the skills gap and close it
- Creates a data tool to attract new jobs
