Appreciation Day to honor military troops returning from deployment!

                On July 4, 2014, between 10:00am and 4:00pm, the Outdoor Wilderness Learning (OWL) Center, 1523 Highway 563, Dubach, Louisiana 71235, will host “Appreciation Day” to honor military troops returning from deployment. 

                While our service men and women spend quality time at home with family before returning to work, we will pay tribute to their dedication and sacrifice with a 4th of July picnic on the grounds of the OWL Center just 15 minutes northwest of Ruston on La. Hwy. 563. 

                The event will include a picnic lunch, drinks, games for children and adults, and many fun activities.  The event is open and free only to personnel from Air and Army National Guard, active and reserve components, veterans, and their immediate families.

Sponsorship/Volunteer Opportunities:

• Disposable Dinnerware to include forks, knives, spoons, plates, bowls, cups & napkins
• Meal items to include hotdog wieners & buns, hamburger paddies & buns, potato chips, onions, lettuce, pickles, tomatoes, relish, mustard, ketchup, bar-b-cue sauce
• Dessert items to include ice cream, cupcakes, cookies, pies
• Beverages to include bottled water, soft drinks, iced tea
• Miscellaneous items to include charcoal briquettes, American Flags and red, white & blue decorations
• Volunteer to set up, prepare food, serve or cleanup
• Monetary Donations
