On July 4, 2014, between 10:00am and 4:00pm, the Outdoor Wilderness Learning (OWL) Center, 1523 Highway 563, Dubach, Louisiana 71235, will host “Appreciation Day” to honor military troops returning from deployment.
While our service men and women spend quality time at home with family before returning to work, we will pay tribute to their dedication and sacrifice with a 4th of July picnic on the grounds of the OWL Center just 15 minutes northwest of Ruston on La. Hwy. 563.
The event will include a picnic lunch, drinks, games for children and adults, and many fun activities. The event is open and free only to personnel from Air and Army National Guard, active and reserve components, veterans, and their immediate families.
To learn how to sponsor or participate in the program contact Alan Brown or Patrick Blanchard, OWL Center, at 318-777-3460. The OWL Center is an alcohol and tobacco free non-profit program of the Louisiana Methodist Children’s Home.
