Artist Call for Entry: 8th Biennial National Juried Exhibition
The 8th Louisiana Biennial is open to artists in the US creating 2D, 3D, and video works that explore any theme. The juror is Bridget Bray, an independent curator based in Houston, TX. Bray was formerly the Nancy C. Allen Curator and Director of Exhibitions at Asia Society Texas Center. @bridget_bray Biography: Bridget Bray is an independent curator based in Houston, Texas. From 2014 to 2022, she served as the Nancy C. Allen Curator and Director of Exhibitions at Asia Society Texas, where she organized exhibitions featuring artists such as Mel Chin, Hung Liu, Tuan Andrew Nguyen, and Amanda Phingbodhipakkiya. In 2020, she launched the Artists on Site annual residency program there to support Houston-based BIPOC artists through a reimagined use of the galleries and related programming. Prior to her time in Houston, Bray led the curatorial department at the University of Southern California’s Pacific Asia Museum. During her ten years of service there, she curated major exhibitions of both historical and contemporary art from Asia and the Pacific Islands. She has lived and worked in South Asia, and holds degrees from Georgetown University and the University of Washington, Seattle.
