Birds & rUSton with local bird enthusiast Jerry Click
Do you enjoy watching the birds in your backyard? Have you ever wondered what they were called, how they lived, and why they love this area? So have we, so we asked local bird enthusiast Jerry Click will share his extensive knowledge on this subject in the class Birds & rUSton at the Lincoln Parish Library on Tuesday, June 23 at 6:00 p.m. in the Library Events Center. This event is free and open to the public, so bring all your bird lovers for this fascinating discussion session. Jerry Click has a long history with the birds of this area. He started bird watching when he was eleven years old. This love translated into his first career when he graduated from Northeast Louisiana University with a degree in wildlife biology and worked for Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries for 7 years. Afterward, he went back to school for a degree in geology and has been a practicing geologist since 1983, but he has maintained a lifelong love of bird watching during his free time. With his level of experience, you are sure to take away something new and to revive your love and admiration for these lovely denizens of our parish.
