COVID-19 may be affecting this event:
Ruston Artisans will remain open, unless it is further ordered to close. We are in the process of enacting new practices, so that we are able to share our love of the arts with you without putting anyone at risk. In order to be socially responsible and reduce the potential of spreading COVID-19, a scheduling feature is being added and will be utilized for a gallery visit only if necessary.
Fashion Karaoke will continue to move forward, however the timeline and circumstances may change. We are asking singers to submit their applications and vocal entries. APPLICATION FEE IS NOT REQUIRED AT THIS TIME.

An Event from Ruston Artisans and the Louisiana Tech University Event Planning Class of the Fashion Merchandising and Retail Program
Fashion Karaoke Singer Application:
Ruston Artisans will hold its 3rd Annual Fashion Karaoke Competition on Thursday, May 14, 2020 from 7-10 pm, at the Louisiana Tech University Davison Athletics Complex in celebration of Tech's 125th Year Anniversary.
What is it? Are you a singer? Would you like an opportunity to showcase your vocal talent while rock'n the runway in the latest fashions from local merchants? We are currently accepting auditions and we will select the ten best entries for the show.
The first prize-winner will receive $500. There will be a smaller prize for second and third place. Each selected singer will be styled by a Louisiana Tech University Fashion Event and Planning student with clothing from local fashion boutiques. The event will be combined with the Event Planning class runway show.
Audition and Selection Rules:
1. Submit the application by COB Friday, April 3, 2020. You can use the online application at http://bit.ly/3FashionKaraokeApplication or submit the required information to RustonArtisans@gmail.com. The upload of your singing samples on the online form may not work for MP4. If you are unable to submit it, please send to our email address.
Include the following in the application:
A. Contestant and Guardian Information;
B. A photo;
C. A bio and resume that includes your full name, address, email, and phone number; and,
D. Two (2) examples of you singing.

2. Pay your $20 application fee is not required at this time when you apply/by April 3, 2020, the application deadline. You may pay with cash or credit card at Ruston Artisans, 203 W. Alabama Ave, Ruston, LA or online at http://bit.ly/3FashionKAudition. Application fees will not be refunded.
3. If you are not 18, you must have written parental or guardian permission. The top ten will be selected on April 6, 2020 and be notified.
4. If selected, you will need to:
- Sign an agreement with Ruston Artisans stating that you will be a participant and comply with requirements by COB April 13, 2020.
- Pay the $30 selected entry fee by COB April 13, 2020. You may pay with cash or credit card at Ruston Artisans, 203 W Alabama Ave, Ruston, LA you can pay online with a special link you will receive. Entry fees will not be refunded.
- Connect with your personal designer the week of April 27, 2020. Work with your designer to have an outfit selected by May 1, 2020.
- Select three (3) event song choices and submit by April 20, 2020.
- Attend a dress rehearsal if scheduled.
- Attend the Fashion Karaoke Competition on Thursday, May 14, 2020. Contestants must arrive by 5 pm and stay until the event concludes.
- Participate in any marketing and PR activities.
