A 5-night event with different family-friendly holiday favorites each night. culminating into a magnificent Christmas and pajama party on the 23rd after the Polar Express. Complete with a visit from Santa himself! Monday- December 19- The Man Who invented Christmas- In 1843 London, Charles Dickens writes "A Christmas Carol" after finding inspiration in the people around him and his own desire to be a better person. His novella helps transform Christmas from a minor holiday into a celebration of goodwill. Tuesday- December 20- The Muppet Christmas Carol- The Muppets' version of the Dickens holiday classic about a miser who's visited by three ghosts features Kermit the Frog as the penny-pincher's hardworking and loyal employee. Wednesday- December 21- It's a Wonderful Life- a decent small-town banker learns what life would have been like if he'd never been born after he unwittingly becomes involved in a mistaken case of bank fraud, which threatens his spirit and tests his will to live until a wise angel compels him to see how his presence has made an incredible impact on the people of Bedford Falls. Thursday- December 22- A Christmas Story- In the final days before Christmas in the 1940s 9-year-old Ralphie wants one thing from Santa more than anything else: a Red Ryder Air Rifle. As he trudges through the snow to school, faces the neighborhood bully, and visits a malevolent department store Santa Clause, Ralphie connives, conspires, and campaigns for the most fabulous Christmas present ever in this heartwarming, hysterical, and sweetly nostalgic holiday film. Based on stories by Jean Sheppard. Friday- December 23- The Polar Express- Everyone is encouraged to wear their pajamas for this one and stick around after the movie to visit with Santa Claus himself on the stage of the Dixie Theater. This movie is an inspiring adventure based on the beloved children's book by Chris Van Allsburg. When a doubting young boy takes an extraordinary train ride to the North Pole, he embarks on a journey of self-discovery that shows him that the wonder of life never fades for those who believe.
