The music of the past casts a long shadow, and the memories of this music have great appeal. Hank Williams, Waylon Jennings, Merle Haggard, and Conway Twitty are country icons that people have had no hope of hearing again until now. Get ready to relive the glory days of classic country with the Malpass Brothers at the Lincoln Parish Library on Tuesday, January 19 at 6:00 p.m. in the Library Events Center. This event is free and open to the public, so bring all your true blue country friends to hear and see this wonderful legacy brought back to life. You may not have heard of the Malpass Brothers yet, but they are already making their mark on the country music scene. Brothers Taylor and Chris are wholly dedicated to bringing classic country to life so younger generation can feel that love for the music that is, as Chris Malpass put it, ?the ?real deal? ? every song portrays life?s joys, heartaches, problems, and happiness? it comes from the heart and has depth and truth.? Their new self-titled album proves that they don?t just have the looks for the music; they carry the depth of the music with style and class, portraying the music with sensitivity for its history and joy for bringing it to the present. The Malpass Brothers tour regularly around the country, primarily around their home base in Raleigh-Durham area of North Carolina.
