Downtown Delights

The Ladies of Russ Town invite the community to experience all that Ruston?s eateries have to offer on Tuesday, April 12, 2011 from 5 p.m. ? 7 p.m. at the Ruston Civic Center. Restaurants from the area will be supplying a sampling of their best menu items for your enjoyment. Participating restaurants include: 102 A Bistro, Aramark, Blue Bell Creameries, The Cake Shop, Crescent City Coffee, Dawg House Sports Grill, Daylight Donuts, Jarrell?s Specialty Foods, Johnny?s Pizza, Junior Auxiliary of Ruston, Lee?s Rib Shack, Mid South Pecan Company, Mitcham?s The Peach Store, Pho Paris the Noodle Corner, Portico, RAW Sushi, Smoothie King, Social Bites, Starbucks, Sundown Tavern, Super One Deli, WOW Cafe & Wingery.

Along with the food there will be a silent art auction hosted by the Dixie Center for the Arts and entertainment by local talent Tracy Brockman, Fiddlin? Tim, General Patterson and Monty Russell. Gather your family and friends for this big evening out, savoring Ruston?s delicious food, enjoying local music and supporting our great cause. Tickets are $10.00 for adults in advance and $5.00 for children ages 7 - 12. Children ages 6 and under are free. Tickets can be purchased from any Russ Town member, at the Ruston-Lincoln Chamber of Commerce or at Community Trust Bank Ruston Financial Center during regular business hours. Be sure to purchase your tickets in advance, as Downtown Delights is a sell-out event. The Russ Town Society prides itself on shedding light on Ruston?s progress while reminding us of its past. It is our hope that you will come and enjoy this year?s Downtown Delights.

The proceeds from this year?s Downtown Delights will go to the North Louisiana Military Museum and the Dixie Center for the Arts. Both organizations are vital to the heritage of Ruston and North Louisiana. Last year?s event generated $18,000 for the Dixie, through both ticket sales and the silent art auction.
