Eat White Dirt, screening and Q&A with the filmmaker
The North Central Louisiana Arts Council is pleased to announce that on Thursday, November 12, at 6:30 p.m. Adam Forrester will be presenting two of his short films at the Dixie Center for the Arts. Eat White Dirt is a film which Forrester describes as, “A look at the bizarre and beautiful relationship we have with a particular mineral found in the American South.” Eat White Dirt has been touring film festivals for the past year and won two prestigious awards this summer: Best Documentary Short at Landlocked Film Festival in Iowa City, Iowa; and Best Documentary Short at Rome International Film Festival in Rome, Georgia. Another of his films, The Stranger, will precede Eat White Dirt. There will be a Q&A with Adam following the films. Admission is free. Forrester received his MFA in photography from Lamar Dodd School of Art at the University of Georgia in Athens in 2013 and is currently an Associate Professor of Photography at Louisiana Tech University.
