Hometown Teams: How Sports Shape America
The games. The rivalries. The cheer squad. The fans. Nothing brings about a response quite like local sports, and Lincoln Parish has the honor of being the home to some of the most amazing sports personalities in the history of our country. That is why we are so excited to take part in the Smithsonian’s Museum on Mainstreet exhibition series to bring Hometown Teams to our local sports fans. Starting August 13, the Lincoln Parish Library will host a series of events and a one-of-a-kind exhibit of material from the Smithsonian and memorabilia from our own sports-wild corner of the world to celebrate local sports and the people who drive it. You’ll want to be sure to take part as we welcome this exhibit to our area and share some exclusive memorabilia from players and fans alike in our area. You’ll be ready to root for the home team when you see this collection of memories and celebration of sports past, present, and future! This event is free and open to the public.
