Household Hazardous Material Collection Day
Free to all residents of Lincoln Parish and the City of Ruston... drop off old materials at the North Louisiana Exhibition Center (165 Fairgrounds Road - just off Hwy. 33 North). Items you ban drop off include: oli-based and latex paints, adhesives and glues, antifreeze, used oil and oil filters, vehicle tire without rims, poisons, insecticides, weed killers, flourescent light bulbs, batteries (including lead acid, alkaline, or nicad), computers and printers, old ammunition, furniture, appliances, old medicines, and even sharps.
Items you should NOT bring: gas cylinders, fire extinguishers, school lab waste, explosives, fireworks, or mercury devices.
Please... no commercial/business waste.
