Jazz Music with Rondi Charleston
Critics say Rondi Charleston sings a lazy jazz ballad like no other. Now Ruston gets to decide as Rondi Charleston performs at the Lincoln Parish Library on Tuesday, January 17 at 6:00 p.m. in the Library Events Center. This event is free and open to the public, so gather your jazz friends and get ready to enjoy. Rondi Charleston is no newcomer to the spotlight. She is an award-winning jazz singer as well as a lyricist and composer, with credits in film, TV, and stage throughout the United States and Europe. Her most recent album, Signs of Life, is highly acclaimed by the jazz critics, who compliment both her voice and her original compositions. She doesn’t always go it alone: she has collaborated with numerous jazz luminaries and performs extensively in New York City with other artists. She is also multi-talented, with Emmy and Peabody awards for her work in journalism with ABC News Primetime Live.
