The Louisiana Peach Festival hosted by Squire Creek is a family-oriented event held annually the fourth weekend in June in Ruston. Events include arts and crafts, food, music, a parade, a 5K run, cookery contest, golf and fishing tournaments, rodeo, antique car show, kids' area, fine-arts show, and more. Some events free, others, $5-$10; children age 6 and under, free.

Festival gates open 5 p.m. June 21 at Railroad Park. Music begins at 6:30 p.m. with Dixie Tradition, followed a return festival appearance by Chubby Carrier and the Bayou Swamp Band. Arts-and-crafts show at the Ruston Civic Center, 8 a.m. - 6 p.m. on Saturday. Saturday evening, it's the Classics Recovered Band at 6:30 at Railraod Park followed by the Buddy Terzia Band at 8:30. Friday evening music in Railroad Park, $10; Saturday admission: $5, from 8 a.m. - 6 p.m.; $10 for Saturday evening music in in the park, or $10 for an all-day admission that includes the concert.
