Louisiana Tech Career Closet Donation Bins are Available!

The Career Closet is in need of your help! We are reaching out to specific groups to help us get the word out to local businesses about the Career Closet initiative and upcoming activities of the Career Closet. One way that you can help us is by hosting a clothes donation bin at your business!  We are accepting new and/or gently used business/business casual clothing, including accessories such as belts and shoes. Each bin comes with instructions for how you can contact us when the bin is full or if it is no longer needed so that we can arrange pickup.
 
Clothing that is donated to this initiative is given directly to Louisiana Tech University students who are preparing for their next professional experience. The Career Center helps prepare our students with their resumes, interview skills, cover letters, networking, and more. With your help, the Career Closet can help them with their professional attire and build their confidence as they enter an interview or that first professional experience. The clothing is given to our students at no cost and is theirs to keep!
 
One of the Career Center’s largest events is Career Day where students can engage with potential employers and their first impression is very important. This quarter the Career Center will be hosting Career Day on February 9^th and 10^th. In preparation for this event, the Career Center is hosting their first “Career Day Prep & Career Closet” event on January 25^th and 26^th where students can visit the Student Center for resume support, interview tips, Career Day registration, and (with your help and donations) shop the Career Closet (at no charge)!
