Lynn Trefzger, Ventriloquist
The fascination for puppets and throwing voices is shared by the young and old alike. Add in riotous humor, and the whole family is having fun. Lynn Trefzger is one of the foremost ventriloquists of our time, and she’s back by popular demand! We are proud to host her wit and her “friends” at the Lincoln Parish Library on Sunday, October 9 at 2 PM in the Library Events Center. This event is free and open to the public, so bring the young and young at heart for a rollicking trip through Lynn’s amazing trunk of characters. Lynn Trefzger is no stranger to the spotlight, which she has shared with other artists like Jeff Dunham over the thirty-plus years she has graced the stage. She first received national notice when she participated in long-running show Star Search. She has gone on to get a wide variety of accolades, including being voted Ventriloquist of the Year three times by her peers. She has toured in a variety of shows over the years, doing shows as various as entertainment for Disney Cruise Lines and college campus shows, as well as starring as one of the three hosts in the documentary, I’m No Dummy, an exploration of the history and art of ventriloquism. She has also appeared many times on television, including shows on ABC, TNN, A&E, and Lifetime. Wherever she goes, the audience accolades follow. She has been called a first-rate entertainer and a bright, inventive comedian, in no small part due to her inventive routines and her focus on audience participation. And since no two shows are the same, you’re sure to see something unique and entertaining during her appearances.
