In partnership with Louisiana Tech University’s MFA program, the North Central Louisiana Arts Council presents Visual Rhythm, a workshop combining public, collaborative art with music. To celebrate music in our community, MFA candidate Matthew Knopps will be leading teams consisting of one adult and one child age 10–16 in creating a sculpture installation focusing on principles such as rhythm, variety and repetition. The artwork will be on display in the windows of the new Percussive Arts Institute of Ruston (PAIR) during this fall’s Holiday Arts Tour. All supplies and a snack will be included, but participants must bring a sack lunch. Class size is limited, so reserve your spot today by calling (318) 255-1450 or emailing nclac5@gmail.com.
