NCLAC's Holiday Arts Tour

Holiday Arts Tour is an economic booster for visual and performing artists as they perform and sell their work amid holiday open house shoppers in downtown Ruston. This year there are 35 participating locations, 61 artists, and 14 musical performances!

2014 HAT SCHEDULE:

5-8PM THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 20   

• Main Street Christmas Open House shopping hours

•  Artwork will be on display in downtowns stores

• Musicians will be performing in various locations

5-9PM FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 21

• Artists on site to sell their work, and mingle with shoppers

• Musicians will be performing in various locations

12-6PM SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 

• Artists on site to sell their work, and mingle with shoppers

• Musicians will be performing in various locations

• Artistic demonstrations in various locations

• There will be a Poetry Reading at 202 Vienna Street at 4pm

1:30-3:30PM SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 23

• Free Sprout Sunday children’s art activities at 202 Vienna Street

     4PM

• Free Community Variety Show  at the Dixie Center for the Arts, featuring singer Marc Faulkner, ballroom dance performances by Mike Sullivan Dance Studio, Chinese harpist Meihan Gao, youth dance performances by LG Dance Studio, body percussionist Elizabeth Vidos, theatrical performances by the Ruston Community Theatre, and musical offerings by Grambling State University’s vocal Choir.  The Show will be emceed by local radio personality Joel Sharpton.
