The Ruston Parks and Recreation Department will be hosting for the fifth year a K9 Pool Party on August 2 and 3. The fun takes place at the Municipal Pool on Georgia Street. That's right, canines are welcome to come out and show off their best doggie paddling skills. Splashing is encouraged!
Dogs of various shapes, sizes, breeds, colors and personalities gather for a few hours of frolicking fun on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. The dogs' owners are allowed to join their furry friend in the pool. All dogs must be current on their shots and aggressive dogs are not welcome.
The event is free to all dogs, but humans are asked to donate one bag or can of dog food, or a box of treats to be donated to the City's animal shelter and local non-profit shelters.
