SBIR/STTR Workshop
The Small Business Innovative Research and Small Business Tech Transfer (SBIR/STTR) programs are the only grant programs available through the federal government for small businesses and individuals/ academics considering forming a technology-oriented business. More than $2 billion is annually set aside by 11 federal agencies for innovative research that can only be performed by small businesses. The SBIR/STTR program is not something that every small business can participate in -- it requires developing proposals for innovative research in response to specific topics announced by the federal agencies participating in the program.
Robert E. Berger, Ph.D., former SBIR program manager, will explain the proposal preparation process. The workshop topics include:
SBIR/STTR program overview
Tips on preparing a winning proposal
State funding for companies submitting an SBIR/STTR proposal
