On the shelf means under your tree!
In an effort to keep dollars in Lincoln Parish and to create a fun experience in Christmas shopping this year, the Downtown Ruston association, and the Ruston-Lincoln Chamber of Commerce have partnered to coordinate a Shop Early, Shop Local campaign, for the month of November.
With supply chain disruptions and delayed deliveries, purchasing gifts off of local retailers’ shelves guarantees that presents will be under the tree in time for Christmas! Shoppers are encouraged to shop at Ruston / Lincoln Parish participating stores where they will receive a ticket, with a minimum purchase of $20, to go into a raffle. On November 5th, 12th, 19th, and 26th, one ticket will be drawn and that person will win (5) $20 gift cards (totaling $100). On Saturday, November 27th at the City of Ruston’s Kick-Off to Christmas in Railroad Park, a final ticket will be drawn to award one lucky shopper $1,000 Winner does not have to be present.
If your business would like to participate in this campaign, please register by next Friday, October 15. The Chamber, CVB and downtown Ruston will co-host a Facebook event which will list all participating stores and those stores will have access to post in the event if you want to advertise specific sales or items. To participate in this program, you will provide us with a $20 gift card/certificate from your store. These cards will be given out as described above. As a participant your responsibility will be to give each shopper who makes a purchase of $20 or more 1 ticket. The shopper will need to write their name and phone number on their ticket and put it into a bowl/basket, provided by you. We will provide tickets for you.
