It’s that time of year again! For more than fifteen years, kids have been taking part in NCLAC’s Summer Arts Camps, and this year’s season is just around the corner. As always, the popular visual arts and drama classes are being offered, where students will have the opportunity for hands-on experience with the art-making process.
Each of the visual arts classes are taught by artists and art educators, many of whom have worked in local high schools and on the collegiate level. On stage, kids will learn about different styles of theater, play games, sing songs, and practice entertaining acting techniques.
Camps are available for students entering grades 2 through 7. The fee for a one-week camp, from 9 a.m.- 12 p.m., is $60. This includes supplies and a daily snack.
Campers must pre-register by calling 318-255-1450 or by picking up a form from the Dixie Center for the Arts, at 212 N. Vienna, Ruston, LA. For more information, interested participants should contact the NCLAC office or visit www.nclac.wordpres.com
