Conducting a waste audit can provide your municipality, business, school, or non-profit organization with valuable information to shape policy, change procedures and design programs to divert solid waste from the landfill, increase recycling, composting and other waste “diversion” programs. You will learn what a waste audit is, how to conduct one, and how to use the information to reduce what goes to the landfill.

The New Orleans Convention Center (NOCC) recently conducted a LEED certified Waste Audit, to better understand how they are doing with their recycling, composting and other waste “diversion” programs. The presentation will cover the waste audit process and results.
