Winter Fest 2010
First Fridays presents Winter Fest 2010, held on Friday evenings during the month of December. The annual RUSTON JAYCEES CHRISTMAS PARADE is scheduled for December 10th at 6 p.m. The parade will begin at Louisiana Tech University's Joe Aillet Stadium and roll through downtown Ruston. There will be music, lots of floats, people tossing candy to the crowds... and even Santa Claus will make an early visit to Ruston to be in the parade.
If you would like to be in the parade, you can pick up an application at the Lincoln Parish Visitors Center, located at 2111 North Trenton Street in Ruston. For more parade information, call Timothy Bush at (318)255-2031.
If you can't be in downtown Ruston in person, watch the parade on Suddenlink cable's channel 4 in Ruston.

Location
The parade begins at Louisiana Tech University's Joe Aillet Stadium and continues down Alabama Avenue to Trenton Street in the downtown area. It turns south on Trenton and meanders through the historic downtown area.
Fees/Admission
Of course it is free to view the parade, but there is a fee to participate in the actual parade. Call Timothy Bush at (318)255-2031 for an application to be in the parade.
