What is YEA!?
The Youth Entrepreneur Academy is a cutting-edge program that takes middle- and high-school students between the ages of 11 and 18 through the process of starting and launching a real business or social movement over the course of an academic year. By the end of the class, students own and operate fully-formed and functioning businesses, which may be carried on after their graduation from the program. YEA! aims to teach students at an early age how to make a job, not just take a job. Visit the YEA! Lincoln Facebook page for photos and more.
Why Should I Attend This Event?
As a non-profit organization, YEA! relies on the generosity of the community and of sponsors; people who identify with entrepreneurship and want to help pave the way for the future business leaders of tomorrow. During the course of the nine-month program, a significant number of local businesses become involved with YEA! at various levels. Students work in close cooperation with local business leaders, community leaders and educators who use their personal experiences to demonstrate how to transform their ideas into tangible enterprises that create economic and social value for a better world. You can play a role in the economic development of our community by supporting these young entrepreneurs.
