St. Jude Radiothon

The 34th annual St. Jude Radiothon is scheduled for Feb. 9-10, to be broadcast live on Z-107.5 from Ruston's Super 1 Foods. The Zeta Rho chapter of the philanthropic group Epsilon Sigma Alpha is co-sponsor of the event. Broadcast hours will be 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Feb. 9 and 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Feb. 10. Last year, the event drew in approximately $113,000. St. Jude Children?s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tenn., has treated more than 2,000 young cancer patients from Louisiana. Daily operating costs are $1.9 million and are primarily covered by public contributions. St. Jude has treated approximately 20,000 children from across the United States and 70 foreign countries.
